This Agreement is hereby entered into for the Price Protection Service (“PPS”). The Parties agree to the following terms and conditions:
- Service. Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania, Inc. (“Columbia Gas”) agrees to sell natural gas commodity to you (“Customer”) for heating a home or place of business under the rules and regulations of the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission and Columbia Gas’ Rates and Rules for Furnishing Gas Service (the “Tariff”).
- Representations. Customer represents that Customer is eligible to receive service from Columbia under the Pilot Rider PPS – Price Protection Service provisions of Columbia’s Tariff.
- Length of Contract. The term of this contract shall begin with the first billing following enrollment and continue for a period of one (1) year thereafter, subject to an enrollment cutoff date of the 15th of the month. For an enrollment received after the 15th of the month, the term of this contract shall begin with the second bill following enrollment and shall continue for one (1) year thereafter. Columbia Gas will notify the Customer prior to the expiration of this agreement. At the end of the term, the Customer has the right to end this agreement, without incurring a fee.
- Price. Columbia Gas will sell natural gas commodity to the Customer at a fixed price of $0.7130 per CCF. All other charges billed to Customer, including distribution charges, unrecovered gas cost, taxes, and other services on Customer’s Columbia Gas invoice shall not be affected by this Agreement.
- Billing and Payment. The Customer will continue to be billed by Columbia Gas based on periodic meter readings. The Customer will pay in accordance with Columbia Gas’ billing terms.
- Waiting Period. The Customer must be current on their bill at the time of processing. The Customer may cancel this contract, without incurring any penalty or fee, any time prior to the 10th day after the date the Customer enrolls by calling Columbia Gas at 1-888-756-4677.
- Termination. After the effective date of Enrollment, if Customer terminates the contract with Columbia Gas before the expiration of the one (1) year term, Customer shall be billed an early termination fee. For residential customers, the fee shall be $10.00 per month for each remaining month of the initial contract term, not to exceed $60.00. For commercial customers, the termination fee shall be $30.00 per month for each remaining month of the initial contract, not to exceed $180.00.
- Dispute. The Customer should call the customer service desk at 1-888-460-4332 Monday through Friday 8:00am – 5:30pm with a question or concern about a bill.
- Emergency. The Customer understands that if they smell gas they should immediately call Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania’s emergency line at 1-888-460-4332.
- Miscellaneous. This contract reflects the entire agreement between Customer and Columbia Gas regarding charges for natural gas commodity and supersedes any oral or written statements made in connection with Customer’s gas supply. In the event of a conflict between this Agreement and the terms and conditions under the Pilot Rider PPS – Price Protection Service provisions of Columbia’s Tariff, Columbia’s Tariff shall prevail.
